Baoky
Vu is the research director at A. Montag & Associates. He has been at the firm in various
capacities for more than a decade, joining full-time in 1996.
He has been key in administrative operations and presently oversees
all equity research and analysis. He is chair of the research
committee, and regularly leads the firm through assessment of
equities, selection, and trading matters. In addition, he oversees
several portfolios directly. He is involved in training of staff
and plays key roles in strategic issues associated with portfolio
administration, performance measurement, data management, and
investment software.
Baoky
is very involved in the Atlanta community, in particular the Vietnamese
and broader Asian communities of the city. Born in Vietnam, his
family left Saigon a week before her fall. After brief periods
in Australia and Washington D.C., he, his parents and two younger
brothers settled in Atlanta. Baoky is a frequent speaker at national
events for the Vietnamese community and has often been cited in
national and local publications as a key member of America's growing
Asian community.
He
is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he
was a ROTC scholarship recipient. He later received an MBA from
Georgetown University in Washington D.C. Baoky represents his
family and community in many private business interests. In addition
to his work in the investment field, he remains a passionate observer
of the American and Vietnamese political movements and a fan of
the field of technology. He is a frequent traveler, writer and
speaker.
