Edward "Ned"
Montag is the COO and part owner of A.
Montag & Associates, his family's investment management
business. He joined the firm in 1996, and his current responsibilities
include basic oversight of the firm's day-to-day operations. In
addition, Ned oversees marketing and is directly involved in client
servicing.
Ned grew up in Atlanta and attended The Westminster
Schools. He majored in English at Washington University in St.
Louis. Following college, he spent several years in the field
of consulting to family-owned businesses. In 1997, he completed
his MBA in the Emory University Executive MBA program.
Ned serves on the boards of several local organizations including
Trinity School, The Jewish Education Loan Fund, The Temple, and
The Sidney Isenberg Lecture Series.
Ned's wife Andrea is the executive director
of the Glenn Institute for Philanthropy & Service Learning at
The Westminster Schools. They have three young children. Interests
beyond the investment field include Shakespeare and British history,
collecting quotes, squash, and hiking, canoeing and walking in
the mountains of north Georgia.
