Marianne Shutzberg
joined the firm in 1982 and presently oversees all municipal bond
trading and research. Firm-wide, over one third of client assets
are invested in fixed-income securities, requiring that she maintain
active trading relationships with several regional and national
investment banks. Marianne is responsible for the management of
municipal, federal agency and United States Treasury bonds owned
in client portfolios. In addition, she participates in client
servicing, marketing, and she directly oversees portfolios with
large positions in municipal bonds.
Marianne is a native Atlantan and graduated from Dunwoody High
School. She received her undergraduate degree in Finance from
the University of Florida. She obtained the Chartered Financial
Analyst designation in 1986 and is a member of the Atlanta Society
of Financial Analysts and the National Federation of Municipal
Analysts. She is a former board member of the Southern Municipal
Finance Society. She has also served on the board of The Temple,
where she founded the Young Professionals Group.
Marianne and her husband, Lenny, have three children and are active
volunteers at the Alfred and Adele Davis Academy. Marianne is
an avid runner and is active in the community.
